The unprecedented devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey has shocked the nation and left many Texans with nothing. But in the midst of this tragedy, stories have been pouring out of the heroes who risk everything to save those in need.
The Waco Police Department recently shared a heartwarming photo capturing the spirit of such stories.
Waco’s off-duty police officers have been heading to aid those effected by the hurricane. Of course, these heroes deserve our praise, but it’s easy to forget about the bravery of their loved ones, who watch as they go into harm’s way.

But while little Makenna may have been itching to tag along, she can rest assured knowing that—no matter what happens– her daddy is a hero.
